Meet Jennifer Cook
Jennifer is a graduate of Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
She pursued Occupational Therapy to allow her to treat many facets of disabilities. Soon after graduation, her love for geriatrics landed her a position as the lead Occupational Therapist at a skilled nursing facility and outpatient clinic. This environment allowed her to help people recover and return home to their prior level of function.
It was during this time she learned of a manual therapy technique called Myofascial Release (John Barnes approach). Curious about this approach and how it could help the population that she served, she embarked on a journey to learn about fascia and fascial restrictions. Surprisingly, after the first certification, Jennifer was able to utilize her skill set. She found it was the one therapeutic tool she could utilize that had immediate results. Jennifer now has several certifications in the John Barnes myofascial release approach. Has now been treating fascia for 18 years and loves helping people that have lost hope of finding help.
The story doesn't end there, fast forward to 2023 when Jennifer met Sophia and learned about Frederick Stretch Therapy. Jennifer is FST level 1 certified and will soon be completing her certification as a certified personal trainer.
